Game Designer (Senior)

Job description

Make an experience that people won't forget. Do you remember your first time playing the DayZ mod or crafting something truly satisfying? We're looking for an experienced game designer to work alongside our CEO founder Dean Hall, creator of DayZ, to bring the next great survival game to life. 

In this role you will:

  • Balance all aspects of the game economy and difficulty curve
  • Ensure player progress is rewarding, exciting, fair and satisfying
  • Constantly seek player feedback and interpret it wisely with action-oriented recommendations
  • Communicate how game features and constraints create particular player experiences
  • Understand the latest approaches to player acquisition and business models
  • Help manage and respond to playtesting sessions

Job requirements

  • 6+ years game design or relevant game development experience
  • A fantastic portfolio of games you've contributed to
  • Experience with game analytics and a track record of optimising live games
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence (or similar project management tools)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4
  • A love of spreadsheet and wikis and delighting players
