Environment Level Designer

Job description

Develop environments in Unreal engine from the terrain heightmap through to the placement of vegetation, rocks, rivers, and other objects.

  • Develop authentic terrain heightmaps using external GIS tools such as World Creator
  • Create environments as Unreal Levels using the heightmaps and placing objects created by 3D artists
  • Work with concept artists and other Level Designers to ensure consistency across all created levels


  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • A fantastic and comprehensive portfolio, demonstrating experience with environment level design
  • A tertiary qualification in art or design, or 6+ years industry experience
